Erika Miguel is a passionate education leader with over a decade of experience across K-12, higher education, and district-level roles. As an immigrant, she deeply understands the power of education in changing the trajectory of someone’s life. She currently serves as Senior Director of Programs at the Latino Education Advancement Foundation (LEAF), where she leads strategic initiatives that empower the next generation of Latinx leaders and ultimately move them toward economic mobility.

Throughout her career, Erika has developed and overseen comprehensive programs that not only increase postsecondary enrollment and persistence, but also center the voices and needs of students and their families. Like LEAF, she believes in holistic support — from scholarships and mentorship to parent engagement and strategic partnerships.

Recognized by the Santa Clara County Office of Education with the Civic Educator Award and the Signature Practice Award for Multilingual Learners, Erika is committed to centering student voice, cultural wealth, and community empowerment in every space she leads.
