As LEAF’s College and Career Program Coordinator, Miranda leverages her experience in college access programming to empower first-generation students to excel in environments that have not always reflected their identities. By informing students through workshops on various themes of financial aid, college eligibility, and professional development, Miranda truly believes that knowledge is power and transformative for all students.
As a proud transfer student from Santa Rosa Junior College and a graduate of UCLA, Miranda earned her A.A. and B.A. in Sociology and is currently pursuing her M.A. within San Jose State’s Education Counseling Program. At LEAF, Miranda is excited to help introduce students to the unique opportunities within college and career fields that will set them up to make a real difference in their communities.
