As LEAF’s College and Career Program Intern, Veronica brings her experience as a LEAF scholar and mentor, along with her passion for uplifting first-generation and underrepresented students in higher education, to her presentations. Through lived experience and research, she supports high school students during workshops by sharing information on financial aid, professional development, and college requirements.

As a first-generation college graduate from UC Berkeley with a degree in Integrative Biology - emphasis in Human Anatomy, Veronica loves to share her experiences as a Latina in science, making her way into the health care industry during her gap year and sharing that bumps in the road cannot stop you from reaching your goals.
